10 Family Friendly Things to Do – Disney Springs

If you haven’t been to Disney Springs in a very long time you will realize it is much more than a shopping center. This large-scale outdoor entertainment venue includes restaurants, a movie theatre, a bowling alley, a carousel, and even a tethered hot air balloon attraction!

There is definitely something for the whole family. 

Disney Springs is one of the few areas at Disney World where parking and visiting are free.  Guests can also utilize Disney transportation to visit.

Disney Springs is fun for both kids and adults and definitely shouldn’t be missed on your next Disney World vacation.

1. Dine at Rainforest Cafe

The whole family will enjoy the atmosphere and theming. The theming takes you into the rain forest where you’ll feel like you are eating in a jungle, complete with thunder and animal noises.  This experience is very popular and reservations are recommended 60 days prior to arrival.

2. Dine at T-Rex Cafe

You guessed it! T-Rex Cafe is a dinosaur-themed restaurant. Similar to Rain Forest Cafe you’ll experience the sights and sounds of the prehistoric world. After your dining experience, your child can build their own dinosaur in Build-A-Bear Workshop.

3. Marketplace Carousel and Express Train Ride Marketplace Carousel Disney Springs

These two fun little attractions are perfect for the little Disney guest. Each ride is $3.

4. Aerophile – Disney’s Hot Air Balloon RideAerophile Disney Hot Air Balloon Disney Springs

This hot air balloon is the world’s largest tethered helium balloon that whisks you and your family 400 feet above Disney Springs providing a spectacular view for miles.  It’s fun to see Disney World from above.

5. Vintage Amphicar & Italian Water Taxi

The Amphicars are located at The BOATHOUSE restaurant in Disney Springs. The whole family can tour and cruise Lake Buena Vista aboard a vintage amphibious car also known as an Italian Water taxi.  

6. World of Coke 

Character lovers will enjoy meeting the Coca-Cola Polar Bear on the second floor of the Coke Building. While there you can also check out the rooftop location and enjoy the great views of Disney Springs. Don’t miss the many different flavored cokes to taste and of course the endless merch you can take home to share your love of all things Coke.

7. M & M’s Store M&M Store Disney Springs

If you are an M & M lover this place is your jam. From its signature chocolate wall to Instagramable photo ops, there are plenty of sweet M&M moments to discover here.

8. The Lego StoreLego Store Disney Springs

It goes without saying that the Lego Store is fun for kids of all ages. The larger-than-life legos out front are just the beginning of the fun.  The character collections are some of our favorites.  Disney, Harry Potter, Friends, Star Wars, and even Stranger Things, as well as individual bricks to let your imagination run wild, can all be purchased right here at Disney Springs.  

9. World of Disney

World of Disney is the store of ALL things, Disney. It has everything your Disney-loving heart could desire. Outfits, ears, plushies, toys, and even home decor items.  You can not go wrong with stopping by.

10. Bowling at Splitsville

This HUGE upscale bowling alley offers more than just bowling.  Guests can pool tables, and even live entertainment.   And shockingly the menu is pretty awesome too!
