“Fall”ing in Love at Walt Disney World

by Marnie Raimondo

There is nothing better than the Fall season at Walt Disney World. That may be somewhat subjective, but I intend by the end of this article to convince you of it if you don’t already agree. There is so much happening across the parks and Disney Springs to celebrate the season, you will not be without something to see, do or eat! Let’s explore all of the magic so you don’t miss anything if you are visiting in the next couple of months.

Magic Kingdom

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

For the first time in two years, the full scale Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has returned to Magic Kingdom! And it’s more popular than ever, with many of the nights already selling out. This is a separate ticketed event, so you don’t need a park ticket or park reservation to attend. For the full details, see our Complete Guide to learn all about this spooktacular event! The night is filled with frightful delights such as the Boo To You parade, character greetings, a Halloween-themed fireworks extravaganza and more.

Park Decor

Pumpkin themed Mickey wreaths are back on Main Street U.S.A. adorning all of the lampposts, up and down Main Street USA, the Town Square and in front of Cinderella Castle, Fall-colored buntings are draped perfectly on all the Main Street facades and stores, and carved Mickey pumpkins line the second level of the storefronts. Take advantage of these backdrops, perhaps theme your park attire to fit the harvest vibe, strike your favorite pose and say cheese!

Special-themed Fall Treats!

If you are headed to Magic Kingdom, you will not want to miss out on the amazing assortment of Fall-inspired treats! There are some exclusive to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but otherwise you’ll be able to find them scattered across the park. Don’t miss out! Visit the Disney Parks Blog guide for all the ghoulish goodie details!

EPCOT

Food & Wine Festival

The ever-popular annual festival is bigger and better than ever this year – and running the longest ever from July 14th through November 19th, 2022! Be sure to visit for your favorite snacks and cocktails! While “fall” isn’t too evident throughout the park, the festival itself marks the season. Check out our EPCOT Festival Favorites and be sure to check them out when you visit!

Hollywood Studios

Hollywood & Vine Character Dining

Traditional character dining is back and Disney fans couldn’t be happier to give our favorites a great big hug! If you are visiting Hollywood Studios, visit Minnie’s favorite happy haunt for a spooktacular Halloween feast that’s frightfully delightful. You won’t see too much evidence of Halloween across the park, so be sure to make your reservation for the most festive Halloween-themed character dining experience. Minnie, Mickey, Goofy and Pluto are dressed in their Halloween best awaiting for you to join them for this spooktacular event!

Disney Springs

For a limited time, Disney Springs is offering special treats, entertainment and seasonal merchandise! Be sure to carve out some time in your busy itinerary to visit Springs and take advantage of these offerings.
