Just because the Holidays are over doesn’t mean there aren’t any more popular events happening at Disneyland Resort.

Over the past few years, Disney brought us events to keep the unique celebrations happening all year long. In fact, many of these events have grown so popular that we look forward to every single one of them! And with so many events happening at Disneyland Resort throughout the year, there’s an overwhelming amount to cover.

That’s why we decided to go over everything happening at Disneyland Resort in early 2025.

Lunar New Year

Lunar New Year

  • January 17 to February 16, 2025

For a limited time, you can find offerings inspired by Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean traditions to ring in the Year of the Snake.

This multi-cultural event includes food, authentic performances, and – of course – your favorite Disney characters. The main event takes place at Paradise Gardens inside Disney California Adventure, where you’ll be welcomed by colorful lanterns, red decorations, and hanging banners wishing you a Happy Lunar New Year. You can even participate in the cultural traditions of writing wish of good fortune and happiness to your friends and family, receive customized Chinese calligraphy and brush art, and make crafts.

Both Mickey and Minnie also debut their all-new outfits with representations of traditional Korean attire! Offerings include “Hurry Home – A Lunar New Year Celebration,” a dazzling nighttime water pre-show before World of Color – ONE and “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession,” a captivating procession honoring the family, friendship, and the potential for a fortune-filled new year. You can also find daily live musical performances and Asian-inspired menu items all over the resort.

Lunar New Year at Disneyland Resort is one of the most unique Disney theme park offerings!

Did you know that Anaheim has an NHL hockey team?

Each year, the Anaheim Ducks head over to Disney California Adventure to celebrate a day filled with activities, including a special cavalcade, meet-and-greets with Ducks players, photo-ops, special treats, merchandise, and more.

Throughout the theme park, you can listen to live performances by Anaheim Ducks DJs, color a Ducks jersey and wave it during the cavalcade, play games and collect prizes in Hollywood Land, and even learn how to draw some favorite Disney “Ducks,” including Agent P at Animation Academy!

Don’t be surprised – this is a very popular event every year!
