The lounges along the Disney World Monorail resorts are some of the best on Disney property.

One of the best features of the Disney World Monorail resorts is how accessible it is for guests to visit. Among the three Monorail resorts (Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort), you’ll find a variety of theming and detail you won’t find anywhere else in the world. And long with these resorts, you’ll find some incredible lounges.

But which Disney World Monorail resort lounges rank the best?

Here’s our ranking of the top lounges among the Disney World Monorail resorts.

How We Rated the Best Disney World Monorail Resort Lounges

Contemporary

Whether or not you prefer to drink adult beverages, the lounges and bars on this list are most certainly worth a visit.

Sure, the average guest may look for the bar that has the tastiest and most unique drinks. They may be looking for the best bang for their buck. But there’s just one issue with that.

Being on Disney property, there is so much more to the lounges and bars than just the drinks. And besides, several of the lounges on this list even offer non-alcoholic mixed drinks that are worth writing home about.

Here’s how we rated the lounges and bars on our list:

  • Location: The lounges and bars on our list are situated in very different locations, with each location offering unique benefits and amenities that make them truly shine
  • Theming: In keeping with the theming of their resort location, each of the lounges and bars on this list make you want to stay to soak in the atmosphere
  • Food: While there are many lounges and bars that are well-known for their mixed drinks, it’s the ones that also offer incredible food options that made our list
  • Variety of Drinks: Finally, no lounge or bar could not make this list without a list of mixed drinks that truly elevate your experience

With each of the lounges and bars on this list, you’ll want to know the most important information on how to access them. This will include a description of why it made our list, where it’s located, and its operating hours. That way on your next visit to Disney World, you’ll know exactly which lounge will fit your preferences.

Let’s dive into our list of top lounges and bars at the Disney World Monorail resorts.

Enchanted Rose Lounge

Enchanted Rose

Location: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

Hours: 3:30pm – 11:00pm

Located on the second floor of the lobby, Enchanted Rose Lounge is easily one of the most beautiful lounges on Disney property.

Inspired by the live-action film Beauty and the Beast, everything around you screams the elegance of the film – especially the magnificent golden chandelier inspired by Belle’s flowing ball gown. Be prepared for exquisite flavors like the Charcuterie, Smoked Trout and Crab Dip, and Baerii Sturgeon Caviar. However, this lounge shines in its long list of cocktails like the Lavender Fog, Seasonal Old Fashioned, and a variety of Martinis.

Enchanted Rose Lounge is a great place to please your palate and delight yourself in the details of Walt Disney Imagineering.

Wailulu Bar and Grill

Wailulu Bar and Grill

Location: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Hours: 7:00am – 10:00pm

Wailulu Bar and Grill (wai meaning “water” and lulu meaning “calm”) is quickly climbing the leaderboard of favorite Disney World resort lounges – and for good reason.

Located in the Island Tower, both its food and drink menu offer unique flavors, taking inspiration from the South Pacific Islands. As a big fan of Polynesian culture, I was happy to see dishes like the Musubi and the Short Rib Loco Moco. The drink list doesn’t disappoint either, with notables including the Banana Old Fashioned, Passion Fruit and Pineapple Daquiri, and the Lili-uokalani Mai Tai, which includes lili-uoakalani tea-infused vodka.

The theming at Wailulu Bar and Grill is beautiful too, giving a modern take on Polynesian culture. It’s a good blend of a classy Disney restaurant with a fun and relaxing atmosphere.

The best part of Wailulu Bar and Grill: a beautiful view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks from across Seven Seas Lagoon.

Steakhouse 71 Lounge

Steakhouse 71

Location: Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Hours: 11:30am – 11:00pm

After a long day at Magic Kingdom, hop over to Steakhouse 71 Lounge on the first floor of the Contemporary to relax and unwind.

Inspired by the 1970s (hence “71,” the year Disney World opened), Steakhouse 71 sports a retro vibe with concept art and construction photos of Disney World surrounding you as you dine. And while the drink selection is solid, the food menu borrows from a few selections at the restaurant next door. That means you have the opportunity to order the stack burger, arguably one of the best burgers on Disney World property.

Steakhouse 71 Lounge is easily one of my go-to lounges along the Monorail route.

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto

Trader Sam’s

Location: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Hours: 3:00pm – 12:00am

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is the epitome of themed lounges at Disney World.

Distinctly different from Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at Disneyland Resort, Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto offers up many of the same food and drink items as its West Coast location along with several other unique options. I am not kidding you when I say that every single drink on this menu is worth trying at least once. Located in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, this lounge’s theming evokes the feel of the South Pacific. And the fun interactive elements of this lounge that only happens when you order specific drinks truly elevates your experience here.

Arrive extra early though, as Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is one of the most popular lounges on Disney property!

California Grill Bar

California Grill

Location: Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Hours: 5:00pm – 10:00pm

At the top floor of the Contemporary, the California Grill bar gives you magnificent views of Walt Disney World along with elegant but cozy theming.

Be aware though: the California Grill Bar fills up incredibly quickly because of its extremely limited seating. Arrive just before the bar opens however and you’ll have access to the same drink and food menu that guests have at the restaurant. And believe me, the drink menu here is excellent. One of the best perks of dining at the bar is being able to split the pre-fixe menu with one other person, making it a great spot to take your date.

With its excellent food and drink menu, elegant theming, and access to an outdoor terrace to view Magic Kingdom’s fireworks, you simply cannot go wrong here.

Narcoossee’s Bar

Narcoossee’s

Location: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
Hours: 5:00pm – 9:30pm

Right along the shore of Seven Seas Lagoon, Narcoossee’s offers one of the best upscale bar experiences on Disney property.

Because it’s tucked away at the back of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, you’ll often find that the Narcoossee’s bar isn’t busy. Yet because it shares the same food and drink menu as the Narcoossee’s restaurant, it’s worth visiting again and again and again. Step inside, enjoy the subtle-but-elegant beach theming, and immerse yourself in the wonderful food and drink options here.

And we can’t fail to mention that on the outdoor deck of the restaurant, you’ll get one of the best views of the Electrical Water Pageant along Seven Seas Lagoon the fireworks at Magic Kingdom.
